Wow, OKAY, A.L.O.T has changed since I last decided to update this blog, no, I am not in the silent zone in the LCC library again, I am indeed infact sitting on my bed in my halls of residence; Cedars, formally run by the London Institute (obviously now renamed University of the Arts London) but the signs have not changed. It is certainly quite an eye-opener living here, its the cheapest and therefore by far the best, just probably due to the people who live here. I live in the second hub of south west London: Tooting, which is itself quite a exhibition of goings on; Foxes, Stabbings, Drugs, Ice Cream Vans, Supermarkets and Good transport connections, to be brutally honest, not much more can be said for it. I'm not massively keen on cooking at all and could be happy saying my personal cookbook had absolutely nothing in it before, but now that I've moved in, I've had to hit the ground running, and I've been forced to learn some essential cooking know-how.
Life is going well, not too much more left of the academic year to go now, the majority of my friends have all finished now and are looking into living arrangements for the summer and also the next year of UAL yet to come. I am not going to lie, during summer I will certainly miss all those messy sports+society wednesday nights spent with those same lovable people. This being due to the fact I am going to have to move back to the superficial suburbs of Bracknell once again, rather heartbreakingly, just in order to keep my head above financial water.
Just in the last 8 and a half months I have had some of the best times of my life, and met the best people (specifically girls too) that I could really ever wish to. London is definately my current home and I can't see that changing at all very soon either, everything here is so much more convenient, available and accessible. Transport is the pinnacle, second to that; the culture, and then all the happenings that could make a view of London light up like a switchboard.
As an update, I have now been re-elected as the LCC SU vice president for a second time and have been working at our new base at High Holborn for some time now.
From what didn't seem very important during the time I was commuting to and from Waterloo, getting around town is now an important part of everyday life and this means I've decided to put in the foot-hours in order to walk round the central areas in order to get my bearings, I've walked to all the more famous places I've always wanted to- Carnaby St, Buckingham Palace, Saville Row, The Southbank, City Hall. I've nearly crossed every bridge there is to cross in town, visited so many places of interest; disused tube stations, graffiti hotspots, J.D.Weatherspoon gems, cavernous stations, music venues and I've got an almost encyclopedic knowledge of many bars and clubs thanks to all those in the years above me.
So anyway, I'll leave you with this until my next post which should go into further detail of my exploits soon! x

Follow up to Freshers

Heloo, I'm back again, after such a long time away it seems, Re-reading what I'd written before shocked me because of how much I've experienced since in terms of my university and life in the big city of LONDON which is all so kl. But where to start?
Last time I addressed yourselves and myself I was probably about 2 days in through the freshers' festival, Well bloody hell So much has happened since, yeah, I attended the Ministry first Fresher Party and then the one at the end of the week at koko where I had an sweet time, stayed at the very hospitable Lay's pad that evening rather than the lovely Charlotte's because I thought the sooner I gave those guys a break from me freeloading on their sofa the better. Plus it was kl to be able to stick with someone at the party heading home instead of being the lone ranger as always. koko was especially kl because the Invisible (mercury nominated) were playing and due to the fact I have a Library of wristbands on me (after a chat with the pres, a soon to be colleague; Helen, who showed me what her backstage band looked like) I managed to fool the bouncer into thinking I had one and stood on stage where many a infinately awesome band had stood before me. Moving on though, in general I was having a whale of a time, just soaking up the city as a whole, with no commitments to anything apart from the next activity and getting home each night, when you spend nearly all your life locked up at home because you don't have a car and you're ferried from school to home, being outside of the city where I was means you're too far away from things to walk there realistically and you can't drive until you're 17, passed and convince your parents to get you a car. Well september and october were months for change, I left my sixth form (having been at that school for 7 years) Had to re-choose a career area to head towards, a new area. Who knows I now look like I'm gonna be moving into London sooner than I thought. But anyway I do really like my University alot. Mainly due to the people there, I love the whole typical sense of Art Student. A youngish person, struggling for their life to live above poverty, to use the small amount of money they have to divide across Food, Alcohol, Good Times, Style, and their Artwork. Art Student girls; on the whole; are beautiful, and something silly like 74 percent of students here at University of the Arts London are girls, which is great :) don't get me wrong, the guys are awesome peeps too, I've met soo many amazing people while I've been here, both on my course and further afield. Sports teams, Societies, the Students' Union, people I've just met on random nights out and people who have rescued me from near alcohol poisoning lol all lovely people.
To add to all this, I even managed to find myself a place on the student executive at the uni, I spent 2 weeks electioneering in order to win my place as the Vice President of the Students' Union for the London College of Communication especially kl! I get a decent say in what goes on in the places and to the people that matter to me and I get to persue personal plans of development at the Uni which I'll be working on with the Su guys very soon.

Hello to all out there, it seems that things aren't going to go to plan at all anymore, I'm going to have to do my whole introduction thing a little later than expected and thats going to throw the whole run of my blog down the pan oh well, just whenever you see my introduction in the future, make sure you read it before anything else.
Now that we're all aquainted, the real blogging starts! So right now I am currently sitting in the quiet area in my library at the London College of Communication (my university) on some massive mac, waiting for the next freshers week event/session to start namely creative book binding, after that, I'm gonna head to the Stanley Kubrick tour, then to the sports and societies roadshow which outside. Hockey and Ski/Snowboard my first point of call (aparently they're offering an impressive ski trip) , then possibly the UAL radio society, then maybe ten pin bowling (just for a bit of fun) then the the sky is the limit. Other different things like this are all in a book I've been given to help me out but they're all in a weird order and theres about 30 things going on around the 6 colleges and the Union.
Now that I have a nice new camera there should be some good photos coming up soon of my various adventures. Best wishes to all who read this (probably just me).

The Start of a New Wonderful Relationship With My Blog

Well hello there, I've been putting this off for the last couple of days, we all know that starting is the hardest thing of all.
There's such a wide range of things I can talk about on here and do indeed intend on doing so from now on but as a new member of this website and frankly blogging as a whole (other than facebook), I have decided to start properly and form some sort of foundation for what will be the start of a new wonderful relationship with my blog.
In order to establish good grounds for later updates on my life and my opinions I have decided to index the true start in sensible sections (similarities to an inner duologue with a psychiatrist here, you'll really notice later). This is mainly to help everyone out, you, the reader (most probably myself in months and years to come), possibly some unintentional followers like stalkers and friends alike and me; just in order to keep things organised as I write and to avoid confusion for yourselves.
Typically, I expect to quote a number; hence the indexing for this particular start and then ask myself a question, and then answer that question (funnily enough. sarcasm will be evident here). So if you could all just bear with me for now and then the real blogging may turn up later on.
Wait, could it be a good idea to call this the start and then do a new post with the above mentioned? yes? no? well I'm gonna say mmmmmnnnnnyyyyes on this for now actually, sorry for I have now completely changed my mind. Okay now try and ignore this one first post when thinking about "the start". Sorry. Oh and if you really are defying my non-publicity then welcome to my ramblings and thankyou very much for taking time out in order to inquire into my literature (can't beleive I just called it that, what kind of a self obsessed idiot have I turned into!?).
Best wishes to all.
